Hands-Free Plowing

Hands-Free Plowing

With Meyer's exclusive Hands-Free Plowing (HFP) operating a snowplow is safer and more convenient. Hands-Free Plowing automatically raises and lowers the moldboard when you shift your vehicle into drive or reverse so you can keep your eyes on the road and your hands on the wheel. And only Meyer has it. What else would you expect from a company with over 85 years of experience in the snow and ice control business?

Ground Tracking Technology™

Ground Tracking Technology (GTT) enables the plow to pivot up to 12-degrees in either direction, allowing it to automatically follow the contour of the road. GTT levels the moldboard automatically when it’s raised and moved right or left, so the plow remains level during transport. It also allows the plow to mount more easily on uneven surfaces because the mount stays level even if the moldboard is not. GTT is standard on Road Pro-32 and optional on Lot Pro and Diamond Edge plows.

Height/Attack Angle

Height/Attack Angle

Meyer knows what features make a plowing professional's job easier. That's why many of our moldboards are the industry's tallest and feature aggressive attack angles. A taller moldboard lets you push more snow with every pass. The more aggressive the attack angle, the cleaner the surface. Look for these features in our competitors' products, and chances are you won't find them.

Interchangeable Moldboards/Controllers

Interchangeable Moldboards/Controllers

Plowing contractors often look for fleet-friendly plows and mounts. This makes it easy to move a plow from one vehicle to another. That's why all newer Meyer straight blade and V-plows have interchangeable mounts and controllers. This gives contractors the flexibility they need.

One-Piece Plug (Patented)

One-Piece Plug (Patented)

Unlike competitors who have up to three plugs, the Meyer EZ-Mount Plus system comes with a one-piece patented plug to connect/disconnect the plow from the vehicle. No more fumbling in the middle of the night trying to figure out which plug goes where. The one-piece plug gets you back in the cab faster and easier.

System Diagnostics

System Diagnostics

When you're out plowing, issues arise. Meyer makes it easy to get you back on the road using our system diagnostics found on the back of our pistol grip controllers. Just match the controller's flashing light sequence with the chart on the back of the controller to isolate the issue. Not only does this reduce your downtime, it gets you back doing what you do best – plowing snow.

Slot and Tab Construction

Slot and Tab Construction

Meyer couldn't offer the industry's best warranty on our plows if we didn't build them using slot and tab construction. This method of construction makes for a stronger, more precise fitting plow. Laser cut steel components are assembled using robotic welders that never tire and never make a mistake. It's why every plow comes off the line ready to provide years of trouble-free service.

Dura-Slick Paint with Teflon

Dura-Slick Paint with Teflon®

All Meyer carbon steel moldboards are painted with Meyer Dura-Slick™ Paint. This automotive-style paint with Teflon® is baked on to the steel for durability and better snow-rolling action. It's the reason why Meyer plows throw snow farther and move it faster than the competition.

Field Adjustable Trip Springs

Field Adjustable Trip Springs

While out plowing, contractors often need to make adjustments to their plow, and they don't want to go back to the shop to do it. That is why Meyer makes their plows with field adjustable trip springs. This allows more time to plow and less time back at the shop.

Meyer Tailgate Spreader Features

Warranty

Warranty

Meyer is so confident in the quality built into its Blaster series, we back them with America's best warranty, three years of standard protection and five years on all structural steel and hopper*. The competition only offers a one-year warranty.*Requires online spreader registration to receive extended coverage.

Mounting

Most Blasters comes standard with a class 3, 2-inch receiver hitch. This allows for easy on/off. No more struggling when you want to remove the spreader from your pickup truck.

Motor Guard

Motor Guard

The Blaster 750R comes standard with a motor guard that helps protect the motor during use. No more worrying the motor will be damaged when backing up your vehicle. And in the off-season, the motor guard serves as a storage stand when the spreader is removed from the vehicle.

Motor

Motor

Meyer Blasters features an industry-leading 1/2 HP industrial-duty direct drive motor that creates up to 75% more auger power than non-direct drive systems. This allows the spreader to grind through large chunks of material to keep you productive even in the harshest conditions. The motor shaft is made of stainless steel and is press-fitted with double ball bearings for added reliability because that is what it takes to get the job done right.

Auto-stop

Auto-stop

Blasters come standard with a patented one-touch in-cab controller to give you total control over all spreader functionality. This includes an auto-stop mode for the spinner. When engaged, the spinner will automatically stop spinning when the truck's brakes are applied for more than five seconds.

Blast control

Blast Control

Get the power you need at the touch of a button. Meyer Blasters controllers come standard with a “Blast” mode which provides an on-command 70 amp surge of power to grind through annoying chunks of salt or sand. It also gives you the power you need to spread additional material in areas that need more attention.

Vibrate

Vibrate

Need to shake things up to keep material flowing smoothly? The Meyer Blaster comes standard with many easy-to-use, performance-enhancing features such as auto-vibrate. This function automatically vibrates the spreader for ten seconds every sixty (60) seconds to keep your load agitated and ready to spread.

Variable Speed

Variable Speed

Changing snow and ice conditions means you need to adjust the amount of material you put down. That's why Meyer Blaster controllers feature variable speed material output. You simply turn the dial to adjust the amount of material you need, saving you time and money.

Auger Extensions

Auger Extensions

When choosing a tailgate spreader, competitive models usually come with one auger to spread different materials. You know that is not going to work, and we know it, too. That's why Meyer offers five different auger extensions to match the material you are spreading. When adding the proper auger extension, Meyer Blasters have the ability to spread any of the following materials: rock salt, calcium chloride, ice melt, 50/50 rock salt/sand, sand only, fine salt, fine gravel and salt mixes.

Meyer Crossfire Insert Hopper Features

Integrated Pre-Wet System

Integrated Pre-Wet System

The DLX Crossfire includes an integrated pre-wet system built right into the side of the hopper. There is no need to add hard-to-install external tanks and tubing. Pre-wetting the material speeds up the melting process and reduces how far the granules bounce once they hit the pavement. Pre-wetting can save you up to 30% in material usage. The Crossfire pre-wet system is fully plumbed with high quality hoses and spray system. The sight indicator on the back of the spreader lets you know how much pre-wet is available at a glance. The extra-large 200-gallon capacity tank reduces the need for constant refilling.

Warranty

Warranty

Meyer is so confident in the quality built into every Crossfire spreader we back it with America's best warranty. Most competitors offer a one-year warranty, while the Crossfire is backed with three years of standard protection, and five years* on all structural steel and hopper.* Requires online registration.

Delivery System

Delivery System

The Crossfire's electrically-driven delivery system consistently delivers the right amount of material when and where you need it. The hopper screen eliminates large chunks and routes ice-melt to the patent pending tapered-v, while the vibrator helps break up material for even distribution to the full-length auger. The independently controlled spinner manages output to help reduce consumption and lets you precisely spread material exactly where you need it.

Vehicle Protection

Vehicle Protection

Everything about the Crossfire has been designed to protect your investment. The full width hopper reduces material spillage into the vehicle bed to help prevent corrosion. The hopper and spinner assembly are constructed from polyethylene to eliminate rust. All mechanical drives are concealed from the elements to keep salt and moisture out and increase service life.

Ground Speed Control

Ground Speed Control

As your vehicle speed changes, Meyer's DLX Controller, with ground speed control, will adjust the flow of material to maintain consistent output. Just set it to the desired material output and the controller regulates consistent flow no matter how fast or slow you are traveling.

Ease of Maintenance

Ease of Maintenance

We designed the Crossfire to be easy to maintain. In fact it's so easy it practically takes care of itself. The spinner assembly can be removed without tools making material offloading quicker. The auger has a low-friction poly bearing that never needs lubrication. The auger assembly and drive motor can be removed as one unit for inspection or maintenance. The rear cover protects the auger and drive motor from salt and debris.

Get the Control You Need

Get the Control You Need

Our DLX controller provides independent control for the auger and spinner. But we didn't stop there; additional features of the DLX controller include pre-wet, blast, pause, work light, vibrator and ground speed control. It's the control you need to get the job done, while saving on materials costs.

Premium Features - StandardPremium Features - Standard

Premium Features - Standard

The Crossfire DLX has standard features that are options on many competitive spreaders. The integrated LED work light illuminates the spread area and aids in maintenance operations. The hopper has built-in tarp hooks that hold the tarp tight to the hopper to keep the elements out of the material delivery area. Recessed lifting pockets make it easy to install or remove the Crossfire from your vehicle and help position it upright during off-season storage.

Spinner Assembly

Spinner Assembly

Not every vehicle bed is the same height, so the Crossfire's spinner assembly is offered in two lengths. The independently controlled spinner manages material output reducing consumption. It also features two adjustable baffles allowing you to spread material only where needed. No tools are required to install/remove the spinner assembly, and the motor is protected from road grime by a form-fitted, stainless steel cover.
